What are these plastic clips in the ceiling??

There are two white plastic clips in the ceiling of my 2015 Breeze. One is in the bedroom and the other in the living room. See attached photo. What are they?
- Thanks, David

I think they are heat sensors also but a strange place to put them, heat rises. Mine are on the wall at eye level.

Those are remote sensors, an integral part of your AC/heat system.

Heard they're muffler bearings that need service several times a year. :-)

Yep. Remote temp sensors for your room thermostats.

Dual or triple zone thermostats ave them to monitor temps in the various areas. Example: I have three AC units and three sensors

That is silly they're on the ceiling. Since heat rises, what you set your thermostat to will not be accurate at normal body living level. For example, if you set it at 72-degrees, you'll be freezing sitting on your couch, but the heat won't kick on because it's a toasty 72-degrees on the ceiling.

Conversely, since your AC vent is right next to it, that'll throw off that setting too. If you set the thermostat at 68-degrees for AC, you'll be roasting on your couch because the sensor is right next to where cold AC air is blowing out on it. The AC will shut off before you even get cool where you're sitting.

You'll have to adjust your thermostat number setting accordingly.

Tiffin Parts call them Thermisters. If it goes bad and mine have they cause the A/C units to short cycle.

If you look closely, they’re near the AC returns. That’s a fairly accurate way to measure the temperature of the air in a room, building, or a motorhome.

Should they be cleaned periodically?

I would think that just keeping dust off them should suffice unless you do a lot of very greasy cooking without running the exhaust fan.
