What MSRP dealer discount should I target on 2017?

I'm looking at buying a new 2017 Phaeton. Given that with the 2018's on the dealer lots, I'll have full year of depreciation when I drive it off the lot. Can any owners out there give me guidance on where I should start negotiating in terms of discount % off the MSRP?

Thank you!

Just because some of the 2018s are out don't expect a big discount. Discounts range from 20-28%. Much depends on where you shop and if a trade is involved.
Some buyers claim to get 30% but that's pretty rare.

I recd 24.5% off on 2017 40 AH last October. Msrp was $318239. Just saw one at small rv show in Tucson last week, same model and msrp on sale for $241423.

There are at least 3 dealers, all pretty close to Red Bay, that consistently sell at 28% off MSRP. They all have good reputations for service as well.

Was going to ask could we get all, well, , yea all manuals on a memory stick or even an app, that talks to all the rigs like Tesla. But then there is the nostalgia, along with notes from many years handed off by paper. If that too could be handed next digitally. I would be good with that.

I am not sure what you are asking but with my Tiffin they provided a list of all of the equipment onboard including manufacturer, model and serial number. I took that list of all of the equipment and then went to each manufacturer's web site and downloaded all of the manuals. I keep them in a folder on my computer as well as a memory stick.
I also add notes about issues/repairs that I learn here or on other forums.

I had a quote of about 40% off of a 2017 American Revolution 42P this weekend. Great price and if I bought new pretty much everything I would want but I just wasn't ready to do anything like that right now.

Discount update

I''ll be hitting dealers in Phoenix and So. California this weekend. I had one dealer on the phone. I explained I was looking for a 2107 and my goal was 28% off MSRP. He laughed and said "no Tiffin dealer will give you that discount."

I responded I was communicating with a dealer in Texas offering 29% off. He then started spinning, suggesting that the dealer was messing with the build out sheet to inflate the MSRP to make the discount look larger. I was like, "I''m looking at the build out online and it looks pretty legit."

At that point he says, "well, maybe you can get 25% or even 26% but that's about it."

We'll see. I'll let you know.

They are priced like all coaches.....BUT,the QUALITY is not in the American Brand coaches an longer...IMHO now!! they advertise High Line coaches but they are far behind what a high line coach is,AGAIN IMHO....
They have problems with the build ,but still, year after year they build it with the same problems
Four (4) top dealers in the US have dropped the line....Southhaven:Transwest:North Trails and Tom Johnson...this has to tell you something....C
