Which Phaeton?

My husband and I are nearly ready to upgrade from our 34ft travel trailer to a Class-A. We have three young children, ages 9,8 and 5, so we were originally thinking the Phaeton 40QKH for the bunks, and then have to pull the one sofa bed out for the third kid. But after a little more looking we are thinking the 40QBH or 42LH. In both cases we would have two sofas to pull into beds at night, but have the bath and a half (you know, three kids and all). My parents travel with us occasionally so the half-bath would be nice then too. And we travel with two greyhounds (about 150lbs of dog!) so more room is an added plus for all of the bodies that will be in the coach. I'd love some input from other Phaeton owners with experience on which direction you'd go if you were in my shoes.

I've also posted this exact question on the TiffinRVNetwork board.

Thanks for any input, advice. And hopefully within the next few weeks I can let you know which Phaeton we've ordered.

Another option might be the Allegro RED 38 QBA. This floorplan may offer a little more privacy with a sliding door between the bunks and master bedroom. Less $$ also.

We went to a Tiffin dealer to look at Phaetons and bought a RED.

From experience, your children "May" or maynot be into the rv lifestyle and when older want to stay home with friends rather than hang with dad and mom. The bunk floorplan may also become a deterant when time to sell as well. The bath and half would seem more useful with the kids and inlaws. jmo

Don't forget to take a close look at CCC (cargo carrying capacity). With lots of people on board and all their stuff, you might want to keep with a tag axle coach.

Hi, welcome to the forum. I suggest you give great consideration to the 42LH.
