Will only start and run with aux on?

Went to fill propane tanks a short 10min ride started and ran fine, turned it off no dash lights with key to start, after holding aux boost down it started when you release it dies, got it home on the boost, starting batteries test at 12 .6 volts... any hints on where to look for a fuse , relay or fusible link? 04 cat c7 phaeton.. I do have all manuals, looking for any tips on my day off tomorrow

Thanks in advance

Dirty terminals. Don't look at them, remove them and look inside them.

has exactly the same thing happen to me on my 1997 Bounder, but it happened going down the highway at 60 MPH. Push the boost switch and it ran again. Started the generator so the BCC would push the boost switch for me!

Turn on the cab blower and root around by the chassis battery. On mine it was a split lug connector, but also could be a ground or something like that. I found the split lug since when I touched it the cab blower came on and off.

Hey, if that is what they said you have no choice. However, the same relay should prevent it from starting on Boost as well. Can't wait to hear what you find out.

Well its fixed!
Got my 1.5 year old Napa group 31 tested, both failed got replacements, installed new battery, Same problem, off to freightliner for a starter relay, same problem...

What I did, checked all fuses, this thing has close to 50 Fuses cleaned all battery contacts, check all fuseAble links at starter... checked and swapped relays ,checked key switch, still nothing... It been all day am I had my fill.....

Checked fuse panel in center console again, I see a fuse not sitting in the holder correct, I removed and reinserted. And fixed.......

The good, I am fixed for 200.00,,, the bad I lost a vacation day , had plans to get caught up with things I need to complete....

I can say I know this coach a lot better than Before.

Thanks for the support and guidance!
