Window exterior weep-hole covers

Several of my weep hole covers have had the silicone loosen and have fallen off while on the road. What are others doing for replacements? (I've wandered around Home Depot a while, but couldn't find a good substitute.)

I've also wondered if they are even necessary. My SOB never did have any!

Presently taking all the remaining ones off and reattaching them. The silicone used at the factory has 'brittled up' on all of them, maybe due to the extreme temps of the southwest.

You need them. Your dealer should have, or can get, them. You could also call Red Bay and have them ship you a few so that you would have extras on hand.

Sir Guy: Assuming you're serious, if you look at your MH window frames on the outside you can see slots at the bottom. These holes allow moisture which accumulates from the window on the inside to escape to the outside. Tiffin, for one, has put small covers over these weep holes, which still allow them to drain. Some think they help keep wind noise out, others think they simply look spiffier than holes...

Thank you very much... I'm just a newbie from the projects enjoying my "new" Tiffin... Trying to find all I kind about her I bought it used from my friend's parents.. It has 4800 miles and still smells new.. We are new to RV'ing... We have been on 4 camping trips (local resorts only)... I'm still trying to figure out the ins/outs and what the MH can do. Being a first timer, I'm glad we luck into a Tiffin...

We're glad you have a Tiffin too. They dress-up an otherwise rough plunge-cut & provide smaller slot to deter insect home-building. Little buggers will take any opportunity to make it theirs, too!

I'm kinda like sirguy but I knew what the weep holes looks like. I just don't know how a hole in the outside of the window frame can drain water that collects on the inside. After a moderate rain, my front side windows collect water in the rail. The weep holes are always clear. Can anyone explain this?

You might try going to any RV dealership that does maintenance and trying to beg a few from the service guys. Once they replace a window that's cracked or lost it's seal, they don't send the bad one back. Most places have a good supply of the old ones hanging out in a scrap heap or stacked somewhere. A quick flick with a knife and you should be good to go.
