Window shade malfunction

The small day/night shade near the bed headboard came apart. Other than the 2 small screws (which I can't get to) that are holding the fancy frame on is there a trick to getting it off the wall? I'm not sure I can even fix it if I did get it apart but would like to try.
Thanks in advance.

We don't remove the fancy frame but it does require some hand strength to snap the shade out of its retaining clips. Putting them back is even harder. Basically the top rail of the shade has to be pushed back hard, the forward edge tilted down and pulled forward to avoid the front edge of the clip. Replacement requires getting the back of the rail in the clip and pushing back hard enough to slip the front edge up and snap in.

Thanks Rocky......The whole project looks like a real pain. I watched the utubes and decided to get by until I take the unit in for service.

Peets there is a small tab that you put a screwdriver between it and the shade then pull down on the shade on that side until it releases. do the same for the other tab and it should work. On one of my shades someone had put a screw in at an angle behind the shade so that it would not come out but the rest of the shades were not a problem.

I just removed all of my shades because I basically hate them. I restringed a couple of them twice. There are two replacements in my opinion that is a lot better. The cheap replacement is going to Lowes getting the Levelor shades that they cut down on the spot to the size you need. I replaced the shade you are talking about as the first shade to see how I liked them because that shade was 38.00. The shades have a button in the middle of the bottom frame that you push in and lift the shade up. To bring it down just pull down. These are a honeycomb shade. We liked the small shade then bought a bigger one for the other bedroom window and it was like 86.00. After we decided we liked them in the bedroom we opted for the other option described below.

We went to a hunter douglas dealer and ordered durette power view honeycomb shades. We absolutely love them. you can hit a button and all of the shades open or close at the same time. or you can open them one at a time. The difference is cost. You can replace all of the windows in living room/kitchen/dining area for what the Hunter douglas power view shade behind the couch cost. But the quality, color choices and convenience is a lot different.
