The electric shades on our Phaeton have gaps on the side in the drivers corner where the sun always seems to be when I'm driving. Anyone have a clever fix to eliminate the gap? Our Alpine Coach did not have this issue, so I'm guessing there's a fix.

In my case, the Sun is constantly creeping in from varying directions. I used a clothes pin attached to a cardboard paddle "fan". Can relocated it at needed as it will clip on the visor in any orientation.

BTW: A "Paddle fan", for those too young to know, were handed out free by traveling insurance salesmen [up till, say, 1970]. Little bit larger than a ping-pong paddle. Came good in handy before air-conditioning became all the rage.

Would prefer a solution that still let's me use the automated raise and lower feature while driving. Would even consider replacing the shades with a different design that covers all gaps.

I just had my windshield tinted......to about the same height as the TV cabinet......seems to kill alot of the glare that the shades don't. I also had them tint the side windows to help with the heat issues.

Good idea! Probably much less expensive and easier than replacing the shades.
