The 2.0 has not been used by Tiffin. It has been the Winegard 1.0 and 1.0LTE over the last number of years. They have changed to WiFi Ranger for 2020. I know nothing of the model and features of this antenna.

Word is they would not use the supposedly superior 2.0 due to the access number for the unit being on the bottom of the fixed unit and IN the manual. Bob supposedly nixed using it as he thought folks would lose their manual and the fixed unit is, well, fixed.

They did a special for us of adding the 2.0 wiring which terminates behind the TV in the bedroom in our OR 32SA. This is supposed to also be identical to the new Togo antenna that can get ATT unlimited service for $30 per month.

I was told the same thing by Nick Brewer so I didn't order the Winegard Connect option. I did order it to be pre-wired for the 2.0 Winegard Connect. My understanding it is a different wire. How much did they charge you for the pre-wire? The dealer couldn't tell me, I just ordered it anyway.

Ddjay

Is the above for real??

I’ve been looking for something like this, $30 a month is amazing. Do you have a link for it.

My 2019 Phaeton came pre-wired for the 1.0 version Winegard Connect. It's nothing more than a cat6 cable from the roof to the front cabinet. This was not ordered as an option, so I assume it's standard on all coaches. The WC 2.0 only needs a 12v source wire to the roof. The cat6 can be used to provide 12v to the roof. In fact, that how POE works also. I would probably use 2 pairs to provide 12v, 1 pair for+ and the another pair for-.

TOGO site attached. You have to pay for 12 months up front at $360.

The wire option cost us $50. When I inquired about the possibility of adding the wire the salesman called back a day later and said, “someone at Tiffin likes you. They said they would add it for free.” When we went to get our rig a few months later it was marked as $50. Not having the word of the salesman in writing I made no stink about it. That and one other shady item caused them to lose our future business. Hope they didn’t spend that $50 too fast.

As to the comment that all you need is a power source, that’s not 100% correct. The 2.0 has a wire fixed to the unit. That wire has “special” connectors and a further wire that runs into the rig that is THEN connected to 12 volts. I don’t have a picture of the wire but it has an unusual to me termination; not your typical wire. Will try to remember to take a picture and post it later.

Hi

I have a 2018 Tiffin Alegro Ua 36 first edition winegard connect. My question is it prudent to upgrade to the newer model so I can use Verizon SIM card or just keep what I have and pay winegard. We are thinking of streaming or getting Direct TV now instead of paying out the nose. Anyone have any thoughts? Appreciate it
