Winterizing from water tank
Any specific reason I can't just pour 5 gallons of antifreeze into the empty fresh water tank and then just use the pump to distribute throughout the coach? I can't locate the "plastic hose" they talk about in the manual (to hook into the intake of the pump).
Our old itasca had a permanent intake for antifreeze controlled by a valve (you just switched back and forth).
Let me know what you think.

Would that not miss filling the line from the freshwater hookup to the tank leaving it at risk of freezing? Other than that sounds logical to me but I am not an expert and didn't sleep at a Holiday Inn last night. Wish I could say with any certainty.

Ok. So it worked. Put about 6 gallons in the water tank and then lifted passenger side to push the anti-freeze to the pick-up.
Ran all the faucets, etc. also ran the washing machine for a short cycle.
Does anyone know of an insert or a way to bypass the external filter housing....so you don't end up putting a liter of antifreeze into the filter housing?

If you don't start by blowing out all the lines, and if you are just dumping the pink stuff into the fresh water tank through the gravity feed, or feeding the pink directly into the water pump, I think you would still need to blow out the fresh water hook up for "city" and "tank fill", as well as the black tank flush line, as I don't see how you would get pink stuff into those lines..... And don't forget the silly shower head in the wet bay.
