Wipers stopped

Driving to Red Bay from Pigeon Forge. Raining hard and our wipers just stopped. Tried to open generator to see if we could get to wipers, it won't open. Never had problems before in our 2007 Phaeton. Any suggestions? It's like riding our Harley in the rain😏

Wippers

We have a 2009 32' Open Road. Last year while returning from Mt Rushmore, and driving thru CO It stared to POUR. My wife was diving. She turned on the wipers which worked fine......for about 5 min. then stopped. No place to pull over and stop. Thank GOD for the little window in the passenger side by your feet, she was able to see a white line on side of road which she followed, cause she couldn't see out the windshield. I'm taking her with me wherever I go. She did a GREAT job, didn't panic, and with the help of her Angel we made it home (CA) safely. It turned out to be a short (kept blowing fuses) in the wiper motor which we replaced.

What year and model???
Generally the gen set lever is in the bay under the driver in pushers. The fuse or breaker for the wipers is in there too.

What an adventure! We made it to Red Bay and it was the wiper motor. No easy thing to fix, but bless these great employees. They fixed it, new wipers and a few odds and ends. These guys are so amazing, knowledgeable and polite, we love coming here. They got us in the morning after we arrived, Norris came by and within an hour we were called in. Can't say enough good.
