Question Wobbly entry stairs

We have a 2011 Allegro 32CA OpenRoad motorhome. Recently, on our way back home from Santa Fe, NM, I noticed that our stairs would not retract!

I found that all 4 carriage screws securing the electric motor to the stairs had broken! Fortunately, there was a WalMart close and I was able to replace the broken screws.

I have since replaced those screws with grade 8 machine bolts, washers and nuts. However, there is still movement in the stairs. Is this normal?

Thanks in Advance,

Howard

I found the following information in the Kwikee manual supplied with the coach. "The cam is adjusted at the factory but may fall out of adjustment and need to be tightened due to the rigors of shipping, installation, and normal use." Adjustment and tightening of the cams on each side of the steps appears easy!
