Wondering about Resale for Bus VS Phaeton

Hi All!

Wondering about resales values. Looking at a 42 foot Phaeton verses a 43 Bus. I know there is fair difference in price. If one was to buy one of these which one would have the best resales value when it is time to sell it? Which would be easier to sell?

I would assume there would be more buyers for the Phaeton since it will cost less to buy in 3 or 4 years.

Thoughts please.

In my opinion you answered your own question. Does it really matter what the resale value is if you can't resale it?

Since the Bus and Phaeton are the number one and two best selling diesel pushers I don't feel it will make much difference come time to sell.

The Phaeton used to be the #1 selling coach in the country. It recently dropped to #2 when the Bus overtook it for #1. Tiffin motorhomes are in relatively high demand (as high as it can be in this economy), so resale should be somewhat better than most other coaches.

However, depreciation is usually a percentage of original cost. If depreciation for the Phaeton and Bus are a similar percentage, you'll loose more on the Bus since it cost more initially.

The key is to put enough money down on whatever you buy to be able to get more for it than you owe when you do sell or trade it in the future.
