That's usually the case and to say they charge the batteries is stretching it :( as its a very weak trickle charge at most.

The solar system is weak IMHO. Very low output insufficient to keep up with normal discharge. It only activates when batteries voltage is going low and on mine I don't believe it works at all if coach battery is on disconnect.

Agree it's weak. I can't figure out why I was getting 13-13.2 on both battery banks with all switches off and no shore power. I'm leaning toward a bad circuit board since it has a built in relay.
