Quite a while back I was reading a bunch of posts concerning cleaning and sealing the roof on my coach. I can't seem to find them now. I think it has the TSP roof(?). It for sure is not rubber and is one piece. Looks like fiberglass cloth. I have some problems with white stains from the rain running down the sides. I do not have any leaks that I know of. In addition to cleaning and sealing if needed, the openings on my roof have never been re-sealed since it was new. I bought it 3 years ago and just now am getting around to service of the roof.
Can someone tell me exactly what I need to do to the roof to clean and protect it. I was told by Camping World service that the flowable sealant they sell only lasts about 18 months. Gee I guess that mine is a little out of date since it is a 2003 model.
Oh yea, it sits out all year but is shaded most of the time. I do live in the North, but we mostly use it to go South for the winter.

You have a TPO roof...soap and water is all that is required to keep it clean. You can treat it periodically with something like Protect-All, but it will not have a long-lasting affect on a TPO roof. I go up on my roof every other wash interval with a pole brush and give it a good scrubbing. Despite regular cleanings the roof skin will eventually deteriorate to the point you described. My roof developed a small leak last year and try as I might, I couldn't locate the source of the leak. I finally broke down and had the entire roof re-sealed by RV Armor. It's expensive, but no more leak and re-sealing seams is now a thing of the past, while providing me with a lifetime warranty.

You have a TPO roof, essentially a high quality fiberglass. I think Fleetwood started using TPO exclusively on all roofs somewhere around 1999, but I'm not sure.

Seals should last a lot longer than the 18 months your CW informant stated. CW offers a $79 (?) roof inspection--save your money and do it yourself. Any cracks in seals, seal over them or remove and reseal, depending on severity and your inclination.

Do not ever use silicone on a TPO roof--it won't adhere properly. Use Dicor. on all horizontal surfaces, use the self-leveling. On vertical or rounded surfaces, use the regular. Should last years. Inspect seals at least annually.
