1) My electrical outlets on the driver side slide above the couch, the 2 by the kitchen sink, the ceiling fan and the central vac are all dead. When I got the coach I know that the 2 outlets on the slide by the couch worked as I used them to vacuum the carpet when we got home. I have checked the fuses under the bed, looked at the fuses in the rear compartment outside and can't find any bad. Is this line on a circuit breaker setup and if so where do I find it and why hasn't it reset?

2) On one of my outside awnings the strap to keep it open has broken. Where can a replacement be bought from? It looks like it is going to be a pain to replace as the end caps are riveted on.

3) Does anyone know what area is zone 1 and zone 2 on the A/C-heater control.

Any other input you care to give to a new R/V'r would be great.

On the electrical...Sounds like a gfi outlet has tripped...They are usually located in the kitchen/bath area but could be anywhere even outside the coach...Try resetting them all...

On your circuit breakers, sometimes they look like they have not tripped...Make sure you turn them off then back on...

All of the outlets have the GFI sticker on them but do not have the typical reset/test button as a house outlet does so I'm stumped.

All of the C/B's have been checked and are properly set.

I have an 03 Revolution 38B and there are two GFI's, one GFI under the kitchen counter and one next to the bathroom counter. Fleetwood Archives (American Coach) has all of the wiring diagrams available and will e-mail them to you. A/C zone one is rear and zone 2 is front on mine.

Do your GFI outlets have the reset button on them?

I will see if I can get in touch with Fleetwood for the schematics.

So I take it zone 1/2 is strictly A/C related.

Thanks for the replies so far.

Sounds like a GFI outlet has tripped, threre is several outlets connected to a GFI so it is trial and error to find it. I had my outside TV stopped working and found that the GFI in the bathroom was the culfprit. The DW had plugged in her hair dryer and it tripped the GFI. Check all your GFI outlet and check the outlets in your outside bays for any GFI outlets.

Thanks for the info Buck.

What is a DW? I presume it is your significant other, just looking to see what the DW stands for.

How are you checking the GFI oultet? Like I stated there is not a reset button on the outlet so I'm kind of at a stand still. Should I pull the outlet and disconect them one by one? Is there a reset button on the backside that is out of sight?

I know that the outlets had worked when we purchased the coach as the vacuum cleaner was plugged into one of the outlets and had worked. I'm just not sure where to begin.

Ranger429, I have a 2005 Revolution. The same thing happened to me. A GFI has tripped. You should have 2 GFI's. one on the drivers side (kitchen) and one on the passenger side (bath). Zone 1 is rear, Zone 2 front. As far as the awning strap. Use a drill and ream out the groove at the trailing end of the awning. That way you can insert a new strap without removing the rivets and loosing the spring tension. Just ream out the groove about an 1". This is a easy fix. The strap can be picked up from most of the awning repair guys or from rv supply stores.

I'm going to go check all the GFI outlets again but I was most certain none had a reset button visible.

Excellent idea on getting the new strap in. Thanks!

Ranger 429...re the outlets not working, you did not say if you were on shore power or if you were using the power inverter and the house batteries (that is, not on shore power or the gen set).

We have a 2003 Revolution. IF you are only using the inverter and house batteries, those outlets you mentioned DO NOT work. The inverter only powers so many outlets in the Revolution, presumably so that the house batteries don't get drained rapidly by certain appliances and so forth. If you ARE plugged in to shore power or running off the gen set and those outlets do not work, then, as others have stated, you have a GFI that has tripped, likely the one by the stove. The 2 on our Revolution definitely have reset buttons. I had the EXACT same concern you have after purchasing our 2003 Revolution and playing around with it in front of our home. I was unfamiliar with the electrical system at the time, and I was testing the inverter, etc., while not plugged in to the house or running the gen set. The very same outlets you mentioned did not work on our coach. H-m-m-m. Dumb me even replaced the GFI by the stove, thinking it had gone bad (and they do sometimes). After plugging into the house, PRESTO! Everything worked as advertised. Maybe this is your situation. I believe the Fleetwood Owner's Manual mentions this in passing. I also seem to remember that there is a label or something like that in the upper left cabinet over the steering wheel (that's where my amp/dvd player, etc. are located) that mentions something also. I haven't looked at it in some time. Anyhow....let us know what you find out. With luck, plugging your coach into shore power or running off of the gen set will fix the concern. Thanks!

^^^^ X 2 GFI under the microwave. I tripped mine too. Zone 1 in the back, zone 2 upfront. No heat pump on those AC units... The heat runs on propane, and still operates on the same zones.

Thanks heapbigengin. I was not plugged into shore power so I will do that the next chance I get to confirm that was the problem. I also didn't see the outlet under the microwave so I'll check that one.

If the shore power solves it you sure saved me a big headache. I've been pulling my hair out thinking what a nightmare fix this is going to be.

And thanks to everyone else for the replies.

Ranger 429....thanks for the reply. If your unit is in storage (like mine is), just fire up the gen set and see if the outlets work. It is the same, really, as shore power. If the outlets work, PRESTO! I will bet your situation is as I have described earlier. AND you won't have to replace the GFI like I did....sigh. Just let us know....thanks!

Heap, as you were typing that I was pluggin in my cord. Went in and found the outlet under the microwave and the GFI was popped. Reset it and all outlets work on that side now. Thanks for the help!!

I really would like to take it out and drive it/recline in it! We picked this coach up last Friday and put it to use on Saturday at one of my son's all day basketball tournament events. We had a blast that day in it and can't wait to get back in it for another trip.

Prior to my buying this coach we had looked for months at other units. Before looking at the Revolution I almost bought a Coachmen, so glad I didn't especially now after seeing the interior build difference. What a great looking coach Fleetwood has made.
