Hello all

I have an 05 Expedition 37U and was wondering if anyone upgraded to more user friendly switches on the driver's left hand arm rest. The human factors specialist who designed this arrangement needs to look for work somewhere else. The fan, ICC, retarder, service lights, and battery override switches make no sense to me. Some flip forward for on and others vice versa. Sometimes it's hard to tell if they are on or off.

I noticed that newer and more expensive Fleetwood products have much nicer switches that all fall the same way and have light chips that show they are activated. Has anyone upgraded to better switches? If so, what did you buy?

Thanks for the help.

The switches that flip in the wrong direction, can you pop them out of the panel and turn them around?

I thought about that too. However, the icon would then be backwards and/or upside down. The problem I have with the switch arrangement occurs whenever, I dust and clean the dash, etc. More often then not I inadvertently turn on the service lights, that illuminate the wet bay, engine bay, and generator area. It's hard to tell if they are on during the day. Moreover, logically, it appears that when it's on it should be off, since I don't use the switch very often. Thanks for the idea and help.

I have the same problem on my coach. I also wondered WHY the idiot designed the switches that way, some up and some down to turn them on. On my last trip I got tired looking for the lights or fans to see if they are on or off.

My fix was I took my label machine and labeled the two switches that gives me trouble, by cutting all the excess material around the OFF label and stuck it on the top center of the switch. I works for me........

I'm glad I'm not the only one with the problem. Great advice. Thanks for the help.
