I have an '05 Fleetwood Revolution. A screen on the engine system panel shows Average Miles Per Gallon (not instant mpg). I've been through the owner manual front to back and can't find anywhere that tells me how to reset the average miles per gallon.
I bought this unit a few months back and it's stuck on 6 mpg. I hope my driving habits will result in better MGP but I need to reset the gauge to find out.
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

By the way, I already tried holding the E button down for up to 20 seconds thinking it may reset. no luck.

I don't think you can reset it, that's why it's there, to show the average miles per gallon that you're getting. If you are getting better or worse mileage it'll show up. If it appears to be stuck then chances are that that's the mileage you're getting.
BTW: studies that Cummins did show that it takes 140,000 miles to get an accurate overall lifetime average starting from 0 and accumulating fuel/mileage figures.

My 07 Bounder diesel MPG resets when I reset the trip counter. I have 28,000 miles and currently average 7.7. GVW is 31,000. Cat 300 hp.

I can reset the average mileage in our Revolution, and you do have to hold down one of the buttons. Sorry I don't remember which one (of two) off the top of my head, and I don't have access to the rig right now, but I'm thinking it's the same one that scrolls you through the displays.
Of course I don't know if the display has changed over the years, but I've never seen a display that couldn't be zeroed, in anything, except total vehicle mileage and, on the diesels that have them, the hour meter.

It's not stuck on 6 MPG, that is the actual MPG. I get the same, up a hill, down a hill, on a flat highway it does not matter it's 6 MPG. You can maually figure it out using a calculator and gallons used per mile travelled.

Hmmm, that's interesting. We got 6.5 on our way home from the dealer (a 1000 mile trip) and now that we're over 3k miles on the odometer we're over 7.5. Are you towing a load of rocks or something? I was under the general impression that the pre-emissions (pre '07) engines did pretty good on mileage, certainly better than 6.

Nope, I am towing a 4000 pound car and I do set the cruise at 65 when on the highways and I do love to beat those trucks up those 6 degree grade. I have been at consistent 6 mpg.

On my 04 Tradition the average MPG on the dash unit is not resettable - it is a lifetime mpg maintained by the engine ECU. Mine was 7.11 when we bought the coach in late 2006 and now is 7.57.
You could call Freightliner Customer Assist and ask about yours. Have your VIN handy.
