05 Southwind work chassis dog house

Trying to take dog house up so I can access the engine. having problems finding the screws. Any one with any experience with this that could give me some advice. I sure don't want to tear anything thing up especialy the carpet if i can prevent it.

On my 1999 model there are two twist locks on each side of the lid.

They are on the sides of the doghouse well hidden in the carpet. Use your fingers to find them.

I'll hope you mean only the COVER for the doghouse which is meant to be removable. The entire thing COULD be removed but will have about 30 screws into the floor and the firewall with everything below sealant and carpet etc.

On MY doghouse cover there are four knurl handled fasteners (1/4-20 bolts)...
two at the front corners and two toward the rear (on the sides).

I'm going to assume that whatever was there has been broken off or lost. Maybe a magnet would help find what remains below.

There is a small door in the top of the dog house about 14x20 not big enough to do anything tho if i had to change the sept belt or thermostat it wold be impossible from the bottom or the top. in fact i can't even see to front of the motor . but my jacks are down maybe that would make a difference.

on my '07 Southwiind they were buried in the carpet. After I found them, I lleft them out. I think there were 4. Robbie
