I am considering purchasing an '06 Discovery 39S and was wondering if anyone has any input on the Discovery. Does the Cat C7 330 HP have sufficient power? Any comments regarding the Discovery would be appreciated.

Thanks.

While "sufficient power" is a subjective term, I will say the 350hp C7 in our coach has more than enough power for us. Even pulling our full-size 4x4 ext. cab pickup it still has plenty of power. Mileage runs 7 to 7.5 mpg, which is about right for a C7 pulling a combined weight of 33,000 lbs. at 70 mph.
The 330 has 20hp less, but torque is the same at 860 ft. lbs. and the Discovery weighs a little less than the Excursion, so it should be about the same level of performance.

The Discovery is a nice rig- go get it!
