'06 Discovery Exterior Satellite Connection

I just bought a Dish Network portable dish to use when I can not get a signal from my KVH roof top unit to my DirectTv receiver.

I don't see a separate exterior connection for satellite only a connection for park cable.

Any suggestions on how to hookup my portable satellite dish?

I removed the park cable in from my multiple switch box and ran it directly to my DirectTv receiver. I am getting a strong signal for "odd" transponders but no signal for "even" transponders.

What might I be doing wrong?

Mike,

If you're getting the 'odds' and not the 'evens', I'd say the dish is out of alignment or perhaps something such as a branch blocking the reception.

We have o6 Pace Arrow, when I use extra dish, plug into to park cable and use jumper cable to go from end of park cable in front box. Just unscrew cable that is marked park cable in on changer box. than use A cable conector to conect jumper to park cable, and run jumper to in terminal on satelite receiver. that is the way I do our's. If your satelite receiver is in same box as cable changer, will not need jumper
