08 Excursion Light Bar Issues

Started the depart from campground recently and the only dash analog gauge that was working was the air pressure. I checked all the fuses and none was bad that I could see. Called Freightliner, and they said only 1- 10amp & 1-5amp fuse control the gauges on the dash. If both were good need to disconnect the 32 and 26 pin plugs from the back of the light bar on the dash for 2 min. and plug back in. The light bar is where you read your engine & trip information digital, it also controls your analog gauges. I had to remove the dash to get to these plugs, not bad just 6 screws. After doing this all the gauges started working. I have had to do this on one other occasion, but all gauges are working correctly since. I know I still have my oil pressure, and engine temp. and can drive the MH taking reading from the light bar. The only gauge I needed was the fuel tank level. The light bar does not tell you how much is in the tank. The light bar new is $579, so I just wanted to let anyone know this in case they are having or may have this problem down the road.
