08 Fleetwood Revolution LE

New to the forum and just purchased an 08 Revolution LE 40E in June '13. I have a water despenser at the sink that I was told provided instant hot water. It is warm at best upon opening the valve, then cold. I am using the water heater in AC mode. There is a valve under the sink for this small line to the despenser. I have tried it both ways and still not luck on instant hot water. Any thoughts on this issue?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

I have one of those instant 190* hot water dispensers but I added it myself. I'm not sure I've ever heard of one of these being factory installed.

I'd suggest you just look under your sink to see what feeds that dispenser. If it is an instant hot water unit, it has to have it's own little hot water tank right under the dispenser and that will need to have 120v power going to it.

Could it be that what you're looking at is a goose neck drinking water dispenser? These are very common and under the sink you'll only see a special filter connected to them along with a 1/4" copper water line.

BTW, these drinking water dispensers usually have a valve under the sink which is used to close the flow of water when you're changing the filter.

I don't think what you're looking at is original to the coach.

As Rick suggests, you'll have to do a bit more under the sink investigation.

I have a dispenser that looks like it should be for hot water. However, it is plumbed for regular water, not filtered and not hot...don't know what it's for.

Thanks for the replys. I have looked under the sink and there is a small 1/4 inch line that is split off with a valve on it. One section runs to this despenser. There is nothing that indicates there is a device under the sink that is hooked to it. At one time there was scalding hot water coming out of it when we first got it. Not sure what happened on the hot water. I will do some more checking.
