My wife and I recently bought a new 09 Pace Arrow 36D. We love it but we have had a few problems the dealer had to fix. One that still continues is the chassis battery goes dead overnight. They ran a battery test and it is supposed to be fine. When I have it plugged into shore power it stays up but on its own it goes dead. Once I start it with the house battery switch and run it for a minute or less it will start on its own but overnight it goes dead. It sounds like something is draining it. While I was talking to service about it another customer had the same problem. That is why I thought I might post this to see if it is a common problem with new units and maybe someone has a solution. Thanks

I'm sure you thought of this: It could be a faulty battery even if the battery test doesn't reveal anything.
- Your motorhome has a battery disconnect
- Replace it
- Get a current or watt meter that will show if there is indeed a power drain. Also, the power drain might be something that only goes off periodically

Sounds like a bad battery to me - did they load test it or just slap a voltmeter on it?

If the battery is indeed good, then you need to put an ammeter on the chassis battery to determine the constant load. Something is sucking amps out of it, 24/7.

I was hoping someone else with a new Pace Arrow might have the same problem and got it fixed then I could tell service what to look for. When it is hooked to shore power it stays up so I am thinking like the other posts either battery or something draining it.
