Hello Everyone,

I am new here and also new to the whole RVing lifestyle. I had purchased a 1992 Fleetwood Limited and I am having an issue with my electric steps. It sounds like the motor is going but the steps do not move in and out like they should and the motor keeps running .... any ideas..... oh and the steps are Kwikie Steps

It sounds like you have a broken linkage or a broken gear. Lay on the ground next to the steps. MAKE SURE YOU ARE CLEAR OF THE STEPS! Have someone open and close the door while you watch and listen. If you can hear the motor run, Watch the linkage. If it is running and you can see the linkage spinning. Replace the linkage. If it is running and nothing outside the gearbox is moving, You need a new gear or gearbox. All these parts are aviable from kwikee.

If it's the motor and gearbox, pull it off and go to Autozone or pep boys or whatever and tell them it's a left side window motor for a 93 lincoln. About $45. Have him match it up.
