Looking at a 1996 Pace Arrow 35U. Anyone know what the tank sizes are? Fresh water and waste volumes and any issues you have experienced with this model. Seems to have awful small tires (16") for its size. GVW is 17k. Thanks.

if it has 16" tires it is a ford. Look in the closet on the back of the door and see if the Fleetwood sticker is not still there.

That year 35U has a 60 gallon fresh water tank in the very back compartment. Be careful about over loading. That 17,000# chassis is about maxed out with with food and 2 people.

Thanks, Thought it might be tight on weight. Haven't been to see it yet. Do you have a link to a spec sheet on this unit? Did you or do you own one?

You should have a weight sheet on the wall next to the drivers seat.

I have owned a 1995 Bounder 32H F53 w/460 for the past 9 years. Same weight limitations as the 35U, 17,000# maximum. Only difference is the wheel base length. Mine is 190" and the 35U is 228". Had a customer with a 35U, that I spent many hours working on. He consistently run down the road over loaded by 500# or more. The rear tires have a total capacity of 11,112# on a 11,000# axle. The front tires have a total capacity of 6,084# on a 6,000 axle. It a doable combination if you don't exceed the design limitations. I just barely stay with in the limitations with my 33' MH. The 35U is 36' long

I had a 96 Southwind 36 with a tag axle Ford chassis (20,000 lb rating) and it still had 16" wheels. That's all that was available for a gas chassis in those days. It ws sufficient, though. Check the individual tire load ratings and you will see they are ok for the load.
Both Ford and Chevy chassis had 16" wheels back then.

Gary, not to be picky, but chevy did not use 16 in. tires. They used the old narrow mich. 19.5 tires.
