1996 Wilderness 5th Wheel

Hi all, I have just joined, and am looking for a little insight. Our trailer is a 1996 Wilderness, and the front end cap is pulling up and out of the moulding along the bottom edge, just above the hitch. I am about to remove all the screws holding this lower moulding on, and slide the plastic (?) front of the trailer out of the side mouldings, up to the trailer name. Crossing my fingers that I have no water penetration. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I will post pictures later today, as I proceed. Am hoping that I'm not opening a pandora's box of surprises.
