1999 Bounder Air PSI Alarm

When starting the coach the other week alarms started going off. Thoughts were the jacks and took it in and one of the sensors needed replacing. Picked it up and it was fine. This morning brought out to fill up and started. Then moved to fill the LP and was fine but when restarted to head to the house started again. Hubby noticed on the Air PSI there are is a red needle on the left and green on the right. The red one is going down but the green stays constant. Any input would be welcome to help try and figure this out as we were planning our first trip for this weekend.

An air brake system has two air tanks, the red and green needles show the air pressure in each tank. When pressure is less than 60 psi in either tank, the alarm will sound and you shouldn't drive the vehicle. With the engine running pressure should build within 2-3 minutes and the alarm will shut off. (The parking brake usually won't release if the pressure is less than 40 psi) Both tanks should show about the same PSI, if one tank is lower than the other, it's sign that something is leaking. It could be a brake line, air spring, etc. and should be checked and repaired.

If one of the tanks is bleeding down within 5-10 minutes of engine shut down, it's sign that it's a pretty good leak.

Many thanks Bob. So my first question was based on hubby's explanation. We went out together and ran it through and everything on the air brakes checked out. The alarm is going off when reaches over about 60 and both left and right are almost identical. Within the 2-3 minute period they were both at 100 while idling. They did get up to 120 traveling. So we're good on the air brakes.

The alarm that he was trying to describe is actually a ding. And when he gets it is when putting the gear into drive - it is happening most of the time (there was an instance where he stopped to get diesel and it was on, then when started back it didn't happen, but then he stopped for LP and after that he got it) but not quite 100% of the time.
