Wow!

I don't understand how this can be a fuel problem.

The next time you try the generator, does it start OK?

The thought that comes to mind is an electrical wiring goof in the coach that shuts off the generator when the transmission is shifted into gear.

The best way to test that theory would be to disconnect the generator fuel shutoff from the coach remote system. That would isolate the generator start/stop system from the coach.

In either case, we need to determine if it's setting any error codes or just simply being shut off. When it shuts off is the START/STOP light blinking? If so push STOP once and count flashes. If not blinking push STOP 4 times quickly. It will begin to give 2 sets of flashes, each separated by a pause. For instance, if a code 32 it will flash BLINK BLINK BLINK pause BLINK BLINK then pause and repeat.
Ed,

Did not realize that the OP's post is referring to your 2000 Eagle. Congratulations on your new coach, hope you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed our 98 with five years of good experiences and no major issues...just small stuff.

What Newmar says above are the keys to the castle, the fault code will tell you why the genny is shutting down.

Let us know what it tells you.

1. Check your start/Stop switch
2. Check the oil level , mine is checked by screwing dip stick in and then removing.
