The overhead console at the front of the rv is sagging. How do you fix it?

Hello MEG Jr,

If it containes a heavy TV then take it out and find out where the screws that hold the console to the upper ceiling area. Try to tighten and if they are stripped, countersink a new hole with the same length and diameter screw or simply get a larger diameter screw of the same lenght and screw into existing holes and see if that does the trick.
AND

Steve

I have a 1998 pace arrow. Mine was sagging at the TV. I removed the TV and and found several screws had sheared off. I replaced the screws and added a few more. That was three years ago and I have had no more problems.

The over head console does not have a tv in it, just 3 compartments for the satellite receiver, dvd player, and misc items.

The top of the compartments have paneling to cover the frame of the the unit. Remove the paneling and replace the sheared or broken screws. Add extra screws for safety. Buy screws the same length as the ones already installed.
