2002 Bounder Battery Cable Layout

I have a 2002 bounder turbo diesel and have changed the 4 coach batteries and left out a cable. Can anyone give me the diagram for the battery layout. They won't charge unless the motor is running

Check engine code J1939

My engine battery was dead after sitting all winter, replaced it with a new one and engine started, but listed the following Code on the dash board, “No J1939 Activity”
I have a 2008 Pace Arrow motorhome with a Workhorse Chassis 8.1 GM engine
Also there is an X next to the Transmission symbols ???

Google 6 volt batteries and how they are connected for a 12 volt system.

I assume the cable you omitted was a battery conecting cable.

You have to tie each pair of ( two ) 6 volt batteries together to creat 12 volt.

Google is your friend

You can also post , as was suggested a picture of what you have now.
