Question 2004 35E Power Converter/Charger not charging the chassis battery.

Where is the Power Converter/Charger located on my 2004 35E
Workhorse chassis? I also have a problem with it charging the
chassis battery. If I push the button to trip the solenoid
it will let power go to the chassis battery but it wont stay
connected.
I will probably need to replace that solenoid, where would one
go to find that solenoid?

The convereter should be under the Refidgerator. The Aux Switch only works while it is pressed just to get the Engine started or start the Generator. You can check to see if the converter is charging the chassis (house) batteries by plugging in the RV and reading the house batteries they should read about 13.8 volts.

If the aux start works, then the solenoid is NOT bad and is not the reason your chassis battery is not charging from the converter. It could be a fuse or the circuit board in the BCC that has failed. Print THIS document and you can trouble shoot the problem.

Bounder used to put the converter in the basment bay just to the left of the entry door.

Thanks for your replay. It turns out to be a bad converter. It is only putting out 13.0 volts. I ordered a new one today.

That would do it. The converter has to put out at least 13.2 volts to trigger the solenoid (BIRD) pick function to bridge the chassis and house batteries for dual bank charging.
