2004 American Eagle 42R Fuel Tank Size

Greetings,

I have a question for anyone with a 2004 American Eagle 42Y or 42R.

How big is your fuel tank?

The reason I ask is because I'm currently looking at one for purchase, and the brochure says it has a 125 gallon tank. However, looking at the 2003 brochure, and then the 2005 brochure, they indicate that the 42 foot models have a 150 gallon fuel tank.

Did American Coach really build the Eagle with a smaller fuel tank in 2004?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Bill B.

All tag ACs have been 150 for years. To be sure, call the REV Group with your VIN: 800-435-7345.

Dunno for that specific coach, but my 2004 American Tradition 40V had a 150 gallon tank, despite what the AC brochure says. My particular coach had a Freightliner XCM as the basis for the Liberty chassis and Freightliner confirms that they ship the chassis with a 150 gallon tank. It is conceivable that the ones using a Spartan modular chassis as the base had a smaller tank, but I'm doubtful of that as well.

Best advice is to call AC Customer Service and ask, Have the FIN (Fleetwood Id Number) or VIN handy.
