I am having a lot of issues with my existing coach which I recently purchased and considering taking it back to trade for a 2005 Fleetwood Expedition 38N. My existing coach is a Monaco 2003 36 PST and we really like it but there seems no end to the issues probably due to past care or down time. The dealer has agreed to a trade for a 2005 Fleetwood expedition with a 300 HP Cummins rear radiator and I was looking for pros and cons regarding the Expedition before considering trading or just biting the bullet. Any comments regarding owners experience with the Expedition would be appreciated. Thanks.

We bought a 38N in 2005 but was an 04 year end model. Probably pretty similar; 300hp Cummins with 6 speed Allison transmission. Really like the Freightliner Chassis. We had a number of issues that were covered during the warranty period. Hopefully the Expedition you are looking at has had any issues already fixed. We are now full timers and it has served us well.

Thanks for responding. Doesn't look like the trade will go through but I did have a chance to look at the RV and drive it. The inside with three slides provides ample room and I especially liked the way the exhaust brake functioned in the mountains. The engine was a little difficult to get to if repairs are needed but the basic maintenance parts are reachable. It struggled a little on steep hills but I anticipate fuel consumption is less. Thanks again.
