Hello - I am looking at a 2005 Fleetwood Pace Arrow 36D with 2 slides. One bedroon and one wall slide. The RV has the 8.1 Vortec engine. Less than 26,000 miles, generator 225.
Anyone have any negative or positive input regarding this model such as ride, problems, likes dislikes.
Thanks much

The Pace Arrow is a quality Gas coach. I would very much like to have one.

The 36D was Fleetwoods first coach with a fullwall slide and I seldom see or hear any complaints about it. And the Pace is avery nice gas chassis coach - I think you will like it.

Only downside, Pace Arrows are very heavy. Know its cargo carrying capacity (CCC)..

Have a 2005 36B (3 slides) and love it. I very much enjoy the ride too. We did have a couple of Workhorse recalls on it including the brakes but the entire process was very painless.

Have an 05 Southwind 37C, Little brother to the Pace and we love it!
Had the usual recalls which were taken care of but other than that no complaints!

I purchased a 2005 Pace Arrow 36D this spring. I have only made a couple of trips with it but have been very happy with our choice. Couple of things to know if you purchase the unit. There is no manual crank set up for bringing in the bedroom slide if something should fail. Mine would not come in but would go out. I got it in by releasing the motor brake and using a crescent wrench on the square drive shaft. In trouble shooting the problem I found that the "in" function of the slide switch had been accidently disconnected during some service at Camping World. When I contacted Fleetwood, they suggest releasing the motor brake and having 3 or 4 people help you push it in.
Second - Watch your black water tank level if you dry camp. The unit only has a 48 ga capacity and it fills up fast with the electric toilet (about 20 flushes). The rear corner vanity sink is connected to the black water tank via the tank vent stack so if you use that sink much be careful. We had our tank back up into the sink. Not a pretty sight!
She drives great and plenty of power to pull the grades here in New England. We'll do the Rockies next summer. And I'm still getting used to the grade brakes - but I think I like them.
Don't think you would go wrong with this model.

I just bought a 2004 Pace Arrow 37D 1.5 months ago. I love it. Replaced the front shocks with Bilsteins and just upgraded the tv myself.

ACM, I just upgraded my TV as well, same spot in the Southwind.
Used the same mounts and put in a 32" flat screen and it filled the hole very nicely. Also replaced my shocks as well and went to the Koni's which so far I'm really pleased with.
Cos, I don't think you'll go wrong

Think they two chassis available one rated at 22,000lbs max and one at 24,000lbs. We were looking at them and the 22000lbs chassis had a very little CCC. So keep that in mind, if possible go with the 24,000lbs chassis.

We bought a 2004 Pace Arrow 37C in Feb and are so far very happy with it - ljr869 is right on the money though ours is the W22 chassis and only had 777 lbs of CCC when we bought it. We've put it on a diet (that front TV is over 100 lbs alone) but we're still very close on what we can carry. Dump alll your tanks before you leave the cg and you should be fine - it doesn't ride well with full tanks.

Have a great time!

Keith
