2006 American Eagle/headlights

Need suggestions on my Eagle. The headlights don't work and the fuse is good. When the switch is turned on there is a noise in the dash. Any ideas?

Be sure that you are not switched to brights, sometimes there is a auto resetting fuse for the bright lights.

That noise is probably either the auto-reset circuit breaker tripping, or the headlamp relay try but failing to engage. The breaker would indicate a shorted headlamp (could be a bulb blew in a way that sorted it, or the bulb socket broke loose and shorted to the frame. The other would be a defective headlamp relay.

An auto reset breaker resets itself after a few minutes to try again. Headlight systems use these so you won't get stranded with no fuses for the headlights.
