Had a similar situation.
First, I was told it had auto-leveling when I got it. Mine is a 95 Bounder 35U with 3 hydraulic Jack's. Tried to figure out why it wasn't working right and not level. For auto-leveling there should be a controller about midpoint between the Jack's mounted on the roof of the storage compartment. I couldn't find one. After more research, I discovered that it was a manual hydraulic leveling system. And I could only activate it with the door shut, emergency brake on, trans in park, and the engine off with the keys turned back to the accessory position. Then the control pad would power on and stay on and the pad buttons worked but I still needed to have a level to get it right. Hope you don't have the same situation.
