2008 Bounder with 50 AMP Service?

OK, a silly newbe question and am hoping one of you fine gentlemen can help me out.
I have a 2008 Bounder that has 50 AMP hook-up. I am also in the process of having a new storage garage built and I want it wired tor the Bounder.

My dumb question is this, is the voltage 110 or 220?

Thanks for your help,
Lon

Hi Lon,

Simple answer: 120 volts

You aren't required to use 50 amp while its in storage but its nice to have if you want to run both A/C's and lots of other stuff.

I store mine at home and its connected to 30 amp service because that was already available. That keeps the batteries topped off, the refer running and I can run the A/C's if nothing else is on.

Be sure to look at the detail pcurt provided before wiring your shore power.

Best of luck...

Yes.

The voltage is 120VAC between either of the 2 hot legs and neutral. The voltage is 240VAC between the 2 hot legs. It's called 120/240 split phase AC.

Sorry, I should have provided better instructions.

You only really need 50amps when you are trying to run all your stuff at the same time. Your Fleetwood has a very good system for controlling electrical power when you have less than 50 amps. I have "camped" with a 20amp connection and was able to run one air, refrigerator and water heater.
