2009 Discovery 40G

Hello everyone,

I'm in the process of buying a 2009 40G. This has been our dream coach since seeing one, and have to opportunity to purchase one. We are a family of 5 and found this to be the best bunkhouse diesel we could afford. We plan to keep this coach for a while as it appears to have all we need. For those who own one, especially 09 or close any 40G specific issues I should look for prior to purchase? How does the 350 cummings perform in this coach? 41 foot coach, kind of surprised it's not a larger engine.

one thing I don't particularly care for is the outside kitchen. I'd rather have the storage, but that could change once I get it. I plan to contact freightliner with the VIN to see if they have any information to give. At least I think it's Freightliner Chassis. Any weight issues with the big slide out on one side? Thanks in advance.

That engine is fine and if proper maintenance was performed, and if the owner kept excellent records you should have no problem. I have a 5.9 300 in my MH and I go up moderate hills at 50 mph. Of course I don't have a toad or car dolly behind me either.
