First welcome to iRV2... You'll get most of your question answered here.. the V10 is a great power plant and will serve your needs. I have owned to MH's with that engine and loved both Peace and Safe Travels...D

I have a 2008 Bounder 35F with the Ford V10. I have not taken any long trips yet, only 700 miles. I am leaving on a 3000 mile trip Monday. The V10 seems to be a good engine. I realy like the trans in tow/haul the way it downshifts when I put on the brake. I tow a 2011 HHR and forget it"s back there.
I am shure others with more experience will chime in.

Don't fear about the power. 362hp does great. Just don't get stuck behind a slow truck on a steep grade with traffic whizzing by you in the left lanes. You won't be able to get out & around the slow poke (ask me how I know!).

Ditto to all of the above. I'm on my second MH with a Ford f53 and have visited 49 States ( about 20 , twice ) and 10 Canadian Provinces and can attest to its capabilities.

When you look at a MH there are so many other things to worry about other than if the the Ford power plant will get us from point A to point B...have the steaks thawed, how far is the dog walk area, does that tree block my satellite, is the wine cooler plugged in???????? I have no issues with my F53.

Not to hijack, but this is important. I would also suggest checking, if there's a Norcold refrigerator in that Bounder, to see if THAT recall has been done.
Here's a link: Norcold recall.
