2010 Eagle Door Entry Lights

Is there a switch or sequence I need to do in order to have the front ceiling lights come on when the door opens? Still learning the tricks on my new us unit. Thanks in advance!

Not sure about you year. Our 2013 tradition the entry lights, step and handle all come on when opening. There is buttons next to the top entry step that may control that. Don't know ab out your rig.

That’s how mine worked on my 06 Tradition so I expected the same on this coach. They come on when I turn on the porch light but not when the door opens as I expected. Will see if I can find something in the manuals. Thanks for your response.

On our 09 Tradition there was a connector in the compartment where the interior fuses are located that was unplugged (it was labeled with tape). Plugged it back together and front ceiling light came on when the door opened. The previous owner had it disconnected.

Thanks for this. I’ll check to see if by chance the same thing was done on this coach.

On my '04 Tradition there is a jumper on the multiplex controller (under the bed) that controls that. I suggest you call American Coach Customer Help for the specifics on your year & model, but there will be a way to activate or deactivate that feature.

Entry light problem fixed yet?

Long Weekends,
Were you able to resolve this problem yet?
I was having problems with my Kwikee Power step either not extending or retracting and ended up having to completely rebuild it. While doing this I found out that there is a wire coming off the step motor control unit that turns on the entryway lights and the porch light for a short period of time. The control unit is located on top of the step box under the coach. if the wire became separated, the lights will not come on when the door is opened.
I have the 2010 Eagle, model 45B with the 47 series step box, however all the 2010 Eagles use the same motor and control unit. (or so I was told).
If you can, get under the MH and look to see if the wire pulled out of the connector. You might have to cut the tie wraps that hold everything together, but it will allow you to check it out properly. It is the only wire that is single and goes to a single plug.
Hopefully, your problem was fixed back when you first opened this thread, but if not, maybe this will help.
If you need any additional information, I will be happy to provide it to you.

Bill

On my '07 Tradition the entry lights consisting of the door handle, ceiling lights in the entry way and the step lights do not come on when opening the door. They use to but after REV did some work on my entry door they don't come on any more. They do come on when I press the porch light switch which is part of the multiplex system.

Any ideas?
