Hi,

Last year I purchased a brand new 2010 Fleetwood Terra 36T. It is a beauty. It has more features than my old 1995 Winnibago so ther are some things I need to get used to. I took it out of starage today and installed my batteries that I had inside all winter. I normally charge them every two months. I had them topped up this week. When I put them back in my unit and turned off my battery disconnect switch, I had no interior 12 volt power. Is ther something I should know? Is there another isolation switch that I don't know about?

Rgds, Bill

There should be two battery disconnect switches. Engine starting and chassis power (one battery).
house batteries (two batteries in parallel) these switches should be turned on. Also there should be a solenoid that will jump all the batteries in parallel for engine start.

Welcome to the forum. Did you check your batteries with a volt meter to make sure the voltage was topped off. There is also at least one fuse in the location of your house batteries, might check it. You might also want to check all the breakers and fuses in the main panel. My brother in law had a problem like yours, batteries good, but no 12 volt power, he found his main breaker was thrown, turned it back on, problem fixed.

If no one else has any suggestions and the above doesn't fix the problem, do what my DW tells me to do at the very beginning, just call the manufacture, their techs can you usually have you going in no time.

Good luck.

Hi, I just got my unit back from the dealer. The problem was with the 200 amp fuse located near the house battery. New unit, 1 year warranty. Not on fuses. Oh well they got me for $60. Next time I won't assume anything should be warranty. What did I expect $125,000 for the unit and and $5,000 for the solar panels and inverter. Warranty for $60. What was I thinking? Should I feel bitter to Fleetwood for not backing their product, or to the dealer? Thanks for your original suggestions. Rgds, Bill
