2016 Discovery Low Hot Water flow only

2016 Discovery 40E, just over a year old. The hot water pressure at the taps has always been lower than the cold, but wrote that off to the longer runs and the Truma water heater, after the dealer could not confirm the issue.

Lately, though, the flow is so restricted(?) that the pump cycles on and off, while the flow at any of the faucets is even less, and pulses with the pump going on and off.

I found that there was a strainer/filter within the Truma unit itself, but it was clean, only 1-2 grains of something there.

Since the pump runs continuously when the cold taps are turned on, I am thinking that the issue has to be a restriction in the hot water lines somewhere, and that it has to be between where the supply to the water heater splits off from the cold water supply and where the various lines to the hot water taps split from one another.

A couple of questions:
  1. Is there a way to get a diagram of the fresh water plumbing from Fleetwood/REV?
  2. Any ideas on where to start if I start the troubleshooting?

Any suggestions welcome.

Mike

Nice to see a factory response.
Our next coach will be a Fleetwood or REV too

They were very helpful. They sent me the plumbing, HVAC, basic and detailed electrical, chassis wiring and the included options list.

Got the diagrams, thanks for that, they were very responsive.

I looked over the diagrams, and am hoping the hot water heater bypass valve somehow got bumped and is in a "halfway" position. I have not been able to spend time on it; will be working it next weekend. Will post results.

We ended up removing the mixing valve and not replacing it. Solved volume and temp problems.

I have the Truma on-demand system. Does that have a mixing valve also? And is it integral to the heater itself?

Thanks for all the help on this.
