2016 Fleetwood...Warranty?

Okay all...we are at the loan process, have been accepted, and now the dealer is giving us all these options to add to the RV...of course. Extra 5 year warranty through Cornerstone??? Any advice and/or experience with this company? My husband is considering the warranty, I'm thinking no.

How much $$$$ a year and what does the warranty cover?
Does it have a deductible $$$?
Does the 5 years start after the chassis & coach warranty's expire?

After market warranty can usually be bought cheaper then the Dealer price.
have you checked on those prices?

Deductible is $200. No, we did not think to look at after-market warranty, will do that.
These are the options they're are offering:

CORNERSTONE: 5 YEARS OR 60K MILES ON THE WHOLE COACH $5042.00 COACH ONLY IS MORE BECAUSE WE ARE USING THE FACTORY TO OFF SET
THE COST OF THE WARRANTY.

COACH NET: 5 YEARS $747.50

TIRESHIELD 5 YEARS $989.00

GAP COV 10 YEARS $1000.00

RESISTALL PAINT COVERAGE 5 YEARS $1925.00

2016 Fleetwood...Warranty?

My opinion $5,000 for 5 years first year is on Fleetwood so that makes 4 years. If you are financing the price with the rig that adds quite a it more which you will still being paid for when the insurance is up. I would bet if they had a pole on new rig sales only it would be very rare if any body got a return on there investment. Most tire plans do not cover the tire only the service to change them make sure you read a the fine print.

$5K is a lot of repair work and as stated it's really $5K for 4 years of coverage, so $1,250 a year.

My take is more then likely your issues will arise within the first year and after that you should be OK.

Personally I wouldn't do it

Thank you for the advice. We have decided to look at a 2015 Fleetwood Excursion with 7,800 miles on it instead of a new 2016. We have definitely decided against the warranty the dealer offers. We have been researching after market options, looks much better. This is all new...but we're doing our best to not screw ourselves in the process!

I really like the.... Idea.... Of the excursion. It's shorter, lower, better mpg etc vs the larger DP's however I do not like only 2 slides and also most state the ride quality as well as how it handles wind isn't very good. I would take one for a spin as well as a discovery or similar larger, heavier, taller RV before you pull the trigger.

Also some have stated they have been able to purchase a new excursion for $120,000-130,000!

What model 16 were you considering?

I am replacing a 08 Bounder with a slightly older Discovery, at least that's my idea.
