2017 Discovery LXE

Has anyone else noticed the 2017 Discovery LXE's showing up in dealer inventories with a new front cap and integrated awnings? Looks great. No more dim headlight assemblies. No more Dometic awning sag.

Very Nice,

I had not seen that till you posted it, we own a 15 Excursion but thinking about making the move to a Discovery this fall, the numbers don't work and right now is NOT the time to try and cut a deal.

Thanks for posting as this may swing me into a 17 Vs 16......course $$$$$ is the final decider.....

We went from an EXcursion to a Discovery, it's so much nicer.

We bought a year old Discovery and it lessened the pain a bit. Nice coach for the money.

This looks like a Discovery Bunkhouse like my 40G. The XLEs is see listed don't have the full wall slides

So Fleetwood is going with the awnings tucked up top like the Entegras as opposed to the Dometics like on mine? Not a huge fan of the Dometic awnings, but you'll lose awning footage under the full wall slide, won't you?

You do lose some extension, but worth it in my mind. Cleaner design. No bar sag when it's retracted. No support arms when it's extended to hit my head on. And you can get optional the second awning so you would have awning from front to back. And aesthetically, they hide your rooftop equipment.

The new outside look has me intrigued too. Anyone seen a new brochure or have the inside scoop of any other changes for 2017 with the Discovery?

I'm guessing, in about 10 days, the whole line up will be at the FMA Rally in Decatur. Looking forward to seeing what FW has in store for 2017.

Initially we had looked at the Discovery, but held off as were still working and hardly ready to hit the road on a part or full time basis.
Maybe be glad we waited, looks like the new models are out to hit the sweet spot between the lower end offerings and the Big Dollar stuff.
That's the nice thing, the trickle down effect, options available only at the top become available to the lower end as standard equipment.

Good point about the headlights...plastic bucket headlights on ours have cataract vision! But too bad you need to get on your hands and knees to get stuff out of the storage lockers on the Discovery photo'ed. Discovery's with attached storage on the slides, ROCK!
