2019 Discovery LXE 40D heater switch

Hi all, I hope I am posting this question to the proper group. I recently took possession of a 2019 Discovery LXE 40D. During the walk-through at delivery the good folks at the dealership delivery team old me that the coach does not have an engine block heater. Being new to Diesel engines I didn’t question this. However, talking with others and referring to some of the freightliner & Cummins documents I found several references to an engine block heater.
The coach is equipped with an AquaHot system controlled with a ‘Firefly’ switching system that also references a block heater (see photo #1). It says ‘Block Heater’ and the choices are ‘off’, ‘shed’, ‘enabled’. I also have a switch in the half bath makes ‘heater’ that I can’t find listed in any document (see photo #2). It is a toggle that says ‘Heater’ & ‘off’.
I guess I have two questions: First is concerning the reference on the firefly system (photo #1). Is this actually the engine block heater? Second is the switch in the half bath (photo #2). What is this switch for?

I hope I got the attachment right.

Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rick

First no photos attached that I could see. I would call Fleetwood with your questions. On our coach there is a switch called engine block heater in bedroom. This switch is connected to 120 receptacle that has a power cord going to the engine block heater. Maybe your AquaHot water heater keeps the engine coolant warm?

Good Luck!

I have a 2018 40D LXE and it does NOT have the AquaHot system. However it does have the FireFly control and it does have a block heater.

I can tell you that the "Block Heater" is the engine block heater. When on shore power or generator, when you "enable" it, it first goes to "shed" for a few seconds then to "enabled". It does heat the engine nicely after a few hours on.

Make sure you shut it off "disabled" before you start the engine. It is NOT an AquaHot thing, it is a heating element in the engine block.

I have no idea what the bathroom heat switch means, it must have something to do with AquaHot.
