In the process of washing & waxing our new (to us) 2006 34H I discovered a leak at the top of the driver side windsheild. I assume that with that much windsheild this may be a common problem and other here have already dealt with it.

I'm guessing that the correct way to fix it is to remove the black plastic beading around the glass and apply some more of the same sealant used to originally install the glass around the inner sealing surface.

Sounds reasonable?

If you have the glued in windshield, that is probably correct. Ours leaked around the upper part of the window and I went to NAPA and got a tube of the regular urethane, removed strip, filled in the void and replaced the strip while wet, cleanup immediately with their cleaner. I have never removed or replaced a windshield but have fixed several leaking ones successfully. If you are not sure, have an installer come and repair it. Good luck Bert

We were at a place this weekend where it got damp & foggy every night. In the morning I was finding several water trails on the inside of both sections of my windshield.

It looks like I'm going to have to re-seal the entire upper section of both halves of the windshield. Is there a special tool or trick to removing the black rubber outer seal, and the small metal 'T' at the top between the halves?

Thanks,
Russ
