Yep, sure did, Mike. Just after I made the post above.

We attended our 1st FW National last summer. It was great seeing all the different makes & years of FW coaches, meeting their owners, shopping the vendors & getting to preview the new (2011 then) models. They also do a great job of feeding the attendees - something I really missed attending The Rally (Affinity Gp). Although, I understand why The Rally couldn't do dinners: so many more attendees + the show was open to the public.

We went to the Fleetwood Rally last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. So we're planning to attend this year's event as we head out on a western trip. We'd never been to a Rally of any kind before and found this one very beneficial for new owners. The coach displays were informative and the sales booths were beneficial as we bought some things we needed but hadn't bought previously. I look forward to the chance to get acquainted with some new RVing friends this year. Who else is thinking about going?

The DW and I are thinking about attending this rally but won't know for sure for a couple months because of other things going on. Sounds like it would be fun.

I was at the IL. one last June.
My last one. Didn't see the value gotten for the price paid.
To hot and couldn't run 2 AC without breaker tripping in the outside box.
Then it would take up to a hour for someone to come and reset it.
By that time it would be up too 100º inside the MH.

I think it WAS unusually hot for IL that early in the season, I'll admit. I don't know what it'll be like in OK at a comparable time.

We spent all our time at the A/C'd seminars & in the A/C'd main building with the vendors & display units, so we weren't in our coach save for morning & after dinner. But I could see where the heat was a problem for those with pets or attendees who stayed in their coaches more. For us, we didn't have an issue with the A/C though. I do remember, when we arrived, due to the heat/humidity & number of rigs they were expecting, the volunteer who brought the electric cable to our coach asked us to run only 1 A/C & to put our fridge & HWH on propane, during the day. I heard a lot of people complaining about the heat at dinner that first night, which might be why they made an announcement after dinner about conserving.

This would be our first Fleetwood rally, if we go. We were wondering if, instead of staying in the rally campground, if we could stay at another campground and drive to the convention center. Would there be an entrance fee? We travel with 4 dogs, and I think we need 50 amps.

They don't show any walk in price.
Camping is included with Rally cost. All 30AMP.
Only choice for price is water/electric or water/electric/sewer sites.

You can email them and ask that question.
mhevent@fleetwoodrv.com

Have you checked for a campground nearby that has 50 AMP?
A quick google search didn't show any that had 50 AMP and not that many to choose from within 30 miles.

I agree fully. We have our windows tinted with Ceramic tint and it really helps a lot. Fridge and water heater on gas with no problems. 1 AC kept our 42ft. MH at 70 degrees all week. We set the gen to "auto" just in case for the pet.

We are going. It's our first Fleetwood Rally. We are looking forward to meeting other owners and to becoming more familiar with our motorhome.

I'd like to go, but I'm not going to Shawnee, OK in this weather. We just got back from a trip to Lake Texoma on the OK/TX border...just about too hot to go outside.
