96 Pace Arrow interior restoration begins!!

We took our first long distance family RV trip earlier this month and it was perfect minus the generator shutting down over and over and over until I found out the fuel was vaporizing in the lines from excessive west Texas heat! I took the outside door off and it worked like a champ the rest of the time. After the trip, we decided it was time to rip out the inside and make it new again.

* tile bathroom
* new upholstery

Here are some photos.
I finished cutting the tile last night too.

We have been working regularly over the last month finishing the interior restoration. After the summer is over, we are going to redo the curtains, and window boxes, and take the RV to the upholstery shop to have the engine cover carpet replaced

I noticed you upgraded your 30A to 50A, did you do it? What would this upgrade cost?

Thumbs up

Very nicely done; you are a real craftsman! I also thought that you had the best looking lawn in the neighborhood, so tell the Homeowner's Association to go fish....

*updates!*

Our drinking water pump started leaking 2 weekends ago on a trip to Garner State Park, the rear view camera finally fizzled out, and apparently the last person to remove the left rear axle left the bolts loose and they finally worked loose and LOTS of axle grease. UGH

SO I have replaced and upgraded the drinking water pump and installed some new filters, Installed a new rear view camera, and lastly resealed the axle and serviced the rear differential.
Some day after everything has been replaced or repaired we can have more fun with the RV! LOL

Next week, I am going to pull the transmission and go ahead with the rebuild/upgrades. I am tired of adding ATF to the darn thing every time she gets hot! (the front AT pump seals are deteriorated and when the trans gets really hot it pukes ATF on deceleration.)

AND.. finish the interior window treatments and replace curtains.
more photos soon!!

Last week I took the MH to a place in Webster TX called 5 Star Upholstery to have the dog house and front sections re-carpeted after the wood floor installation.
WOW they did a fantastic JOB!

They made this extra trim piece to square things off. It comes right up.
They also made a rubber back floor mat for the passenger side at no extra charge!

After the Holidays the window boxes and curtains get replaced!
Then the transmission gets rebuilt.
I'm getting there!
