........How is the easiest way to open the doghouse ? It has never been opened that I can tell.

Mine has three screws. You have to look for them . They're hidden in the carpet.It's not the whole dog house, it's a plate on top that's removable.

The whole doghouse came out on my 96 Southwind. The screws (two, if I remember correctly) were buried in the carpet at the front corners. I had mine out to add insulation to the underside to deaden noise and reduce heat.

If you are talking about the dome above the instruments, it is held on with Velcro, their may me a screw at each end, sorry can't remember.
