98 American Tradition with 270k miles

A 98 with 270k miles showed up today and the coach looks nice and well cared for. The big BUT is the 270k miles. I have a diesel pickup with 212k and trust it completely but 270 on an 8.3 that i dont know makes me wonder. The allison too for that matter. Its at a used dealer so maintenance records probably hard to get. What does everyone think about life span of this chassis and how would miles affect value? Also where can I find specs and info on this unit american tradition 38ft Thanks as always for your help

Too old and too many miles. Don't forget the coach has that many miles on it as well. There are many MHs out there with less miles, just have to do some research.

I do not usually have issues with miles, and looked at RV's with over 100K when looking for mine. However, when I looked I found that the miles also indicated the usage and wear and tear on the interior. There was a difference between an RV that had 60,000 and one with 120,000. The upholstery., flooring, woodwork and everything else indicated more usage.

just a thought.

I do agree unless the circumstances are very unusual, look for lower miles.

thx Dale
